Hebrews 12:18-24

18 You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; 19 to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, 20 because they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.” 21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.” 22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Comfort.

whether it's a bad day, a good day, or simply a perfect fall windy day i can always count on my record player and the soothing sound of music on vinyls, my favorites including Bon Iver, Horse Feathers, and Sufjan Stevens.i'm not a photographer and i don't claim to be very good but i do enjoy capturing special moments with family and friends, and every now an occasional funny picture with close ones. Polaroids are quite fun and a favorite of mine.creative writing is something i enjoy doing, specifically poetry and there's nothing like the feeling of writing on an old type-writer and looking at the black lettering on the paper appear as i keep typing.
these are what get me through the day; these are my favorites.

Submerge

each night i collect thoughts.
thoughts that embrace my mind and have
a way of holding me down;
i drown myself in those thoughts, because
that's all my mind will allow me to do
before closing my eyes shut.
it's a dangerous thing, to submerge yourself in countless
thoughts, risking never fully returning back to reality.
i don't want to drown myself anymore, instead i want to emerge,
and leave those
fickle thoughts in the deep.
to wake up and take a deep tender breath,
and let it all go.
i collected thoughts; now i just let them fade away
like writing on sand.
